One day Industrial visit by Department of Biotechnology

One day Industrial visit was organized by Department of Biotechnology for B.Sc.-Biotechnology Students on dated 12-2-2013 in “Chandigarh Distillery and Bottlers Ltd”, Banur Distt. Patiala, having largest capacities for producing Alcohol in India (28-29% share of the Country Liquor market).The students of Biotechnology got familiar with techniques, manufacturing process, instrumentation, Distillation process, bottling, packing etc. Students got practical experience of various product manufactures at CDBL i.e. Grain Alcohol production, Molasses alcohol production - Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) and Rectified Spirits (RS); Portable grade alcohol; IMFL Bottling of premium brands like McDowell No. 1 and RTD's (Ready to drink alcoholic beverages) and IMFL brands.
