Extension Lecture on Nuclear and Particle Physics dated May 2nd, 2013

Dr. Vijay S.Kaushal, a Professor of Physics in Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh delivered an impressive extension lecturer on Nuclear and Particle Physics to M.Sc. (physics) students on 2 may 2013. The topics were taken from the course work of M.Sc. (IInd year) IVth semester. In this session Parity and Iso-spin conservation, operation and Transformations, Baryon and Leptons Conservation were taught. A break of 30 minutes was given to the students and Resource person was served tea in this break.

Next session started at 12 noon and continues up to 1 P.M. In this session CP and CP violation in Weak Interaction, Tau lepton and K-decays were taught. His vast knowledge of subject and long experience in Particle Physics made the students to understand the subject matter in depth. Student feedback was positive. We the staff members of Physics Department are thankful to our worthy management, Respected Deputy Director (Academics) and our Vice Principal whose efforts made this event to be successful.
